Moved to a rented property recently. Looks like we are going to be here for another year at least and really trying to find a place for books etc, which are still in the moving boxes still.
It's a typical new build house, with a tight stairway and small room sizes. Trying to find storage options for books, to go on 2 diff walls; 180 and 150cms wide and less than 30-35 cms depth.
Don't want the big chunky wooden full height bookcases as they will be too big for the room size. One of the rooms is just 2.7 x 3m and has a single bed and hanging rail wardrobe already in place.
No good at furniture assembly unfortunately. Have used wall shelves very effectively at previous places, but can't drill holes to the walls here, being a rented property.
Any suggestions please?
Have you used ladder type storage units? Are they robust enough to take the weight of books?
