Curtain advice needed

I have two sash windows in my living room and am thinking of replacing the blinds with curtains.

The difficulty is the windows nearly touch the coving and there's little space for the curtain rail. For privacy Id also like to use a voile.

I'm thinking of a double curtain rail but how does that work where it's situated? Can you get brackets that lift the rail over the window frame?

Second long or short curtains? I'm thinking curtains down to the floor but are curtains midway ok? Decoration is skandi style so longer is better?

Are the radiators underneath the windows?
If not, full length curtains.

If yes, tough decision. We have curtains short enough to tuck behind the radiators. Long looks better tho.

Great question. The radiator is between the windows with corners underneath them. Long curtains would drape over part of the radiator. I agree that long looks better.

We have very high window frames and we have attached the pole to the wooden window surround. It was very easy to fit and looks fine because the windows are so tall anyway.
