Would you use white caulk here?

I've painted our media unit and I'm wondering whether to use caulk to neaten the line between the paint and the wood

I'd get a professional to do it and mine should be shocking!

Caulk only seems to come in white. Silicon comes in colours but i think might look odd as it's shiny

Would white caulk smarten this up or look odd?

I think it would be ok but husband thinks it'll look awful

Caulk is white and you can paint it to match the surrounding paintwork. If you want to caulk I think you'd need to tape the wood so that it only had a very slim line and then paint over the caulk on the wall so it doesn't stand out. I think it will look OK if it's really neat.

I wouldn't bother. It looks alright to me, and I doubt you will notice it after a few days.

Do not caulk! You will only draw attention to an area that ordinarily noone will notice. Stop focusing on it. Add a lamp or some books and it will soon be forgotten.

Looks good as it is. I’d leave it.
