Can I make this look good, with this floor colour?

I want to use the first pic that I found on Google as inspiration for the living room for the house I will (hopefully) move into. I don't want to send a pic of the whole room as I don't own it yet.

I feel like if I was to try to copy this look I'd so easily get it wrong, like how have they managed to use, navy, cream white and black and make it work together?

The second pic is the floor of the house that I'll be moving to which I won't be changing. The colour is obviously very different, so do you think that completely changes the colour of sofa and accessories I'd need?

What do you think? Any tips? Can I narrow down the colour palette so I'm less likely to mess it up?
Thanks

Is that a wooden /laminate floor? I don’t think that recreating that room would be difficult at all, though I wouldn’t do it for a north-facing room. But notice it’s not insanely matchy. The armchair and sofa are different blues, for one thing. Paint your walls a warm white, find wooden tables etc that chime with your floor, and a rug.

Floor doesn’t look that different to me

Key thing is that the big pieces are blue and black is little bits here and there. Also the black lamps are a toned down matte black not a very dense black iyswim.

The floor is much more yellow than the google pic which I wouldn't know how affects the navy I'd go for. I guess I couldn't be too specific about the navy anyway as choosing a sofa isn't like choosing a paint!

I'm not going to get a green arm chair. I definitely want big green plants though. Maybe the rug cushions and wall are all the same warm white colour. So main colours would be navy and warm white and then pops of white and black. That seems easier to work with.

I thought it was going to be bright red swirly carpet or something! The slight variation in laminate floor colour will make no difference to being able to recreate that kind of look.

Well, if it’s wood, can you restain it? F and B Pointing is a versatile warm white. We had the entire house painted in it in our last house. It would work well with cream-coloured cushions, rugs.

@KindOf hmm...see I'm imagining buying the rug and then getting the paint to be the exact same colour. I'm so worried about colours mis matching...but I guess they can still go well together even when they are not the same.
