Hi just wondering if anyone has had their bay window seats built? We wanted to have our bay window seats with storage underneath and some bookshelves on both sides built. I've attached a picture of an example. Just got a quote for 13k!! That's a lot! Just wanted to know if anyone had anything similar done and how much it cost you?! Thanks!

You can achieve a very acceptable result from Ikea tbh. If you really want professionally built in furniture it will be expensive.

Ohhh thank you! I didn't know about that! Would that be DIY? I'll have a look!

I just revamped my bedroom for the same price as just one fitted wardrobe.Good old kallax units can be fitted around furniture and if they are too deep Flysta are very good. Kallax are so versatile and you can fit doors and shelves.
If you google Ikea hacks there are loads of ideas.

You can get storage boxes that fit kallax on Amazon.
One of my DC has just taken the legs off a bed and put it on top of 2 kallax units. Lots of extra storage for the same footprint.

We have something similar in our kitchen. The base is 4 cupboards (the kitchen fitter put these in) and my husband fitted board to the top and t&g boarding behind, colour matched at B&Q to the cupboards. I made the upholstered seat.
