Is there such a thing as an attractive shower mat - if an invisible one.

First world problem I know but we’ve just had a bathroom refit and have a lovely new 120x90 shower.
I now realise the shower tray has no anti-slip surface so I’ll have to put down a shower mat of some type when it’s in use. Problem being I’ve never seen anything other than ones that are pretty ugly.
Added to that they then have to hang up to dry somewhere.
I’m so annoyed with myself that I didn’t notice the lack of an anti slip surface.
Any ideas or recommendations? Is it my imagination or do you get sticker things you can put on the shower tray - if yes are the effective?

Get a clear one. No shower mat should be left down when not in use and stickers tend to get worn and tear.

Ok, so you might find it 'pretty ugly' but I had to get a bath mat to use my shower over the bath after I had an accident & the 'non slip' in the bath was insufficient. I was more scared of slipping than I was about how it looked!

I don't hang it up daily. I wash it with the huge towel I put on the floor (bigger than a bath mat - more space to step out onto)

and in the bath the colour reflects & just adds a pretty colour (like a swimming pool) in the bathroom.

I've got so used to it, when I take it out to wash the bathroom looks a wee bit dull.

i may not need it now, but it adds a bit of security as I still suffer from BPPV (type of vertigo) sometimes

Might duck boards work?

@13Ghosts

why not?

mine stays down all the, the only time it is lifted is to wash it in the washing machine.

ive had it 3 years now & it's in 'as new' condition.

Have just come across ‘slips away’ clear stickers which might be the way ahead for me. Good reviews on trust pilot - though no idea about their longevity - but I think I’ll go for them.

thanks all (no idea how to thank you all officially on this app).

Tesco sell clear shower mats. About £7 I think
