Unusual kitchen/lounge paint colour dilemma!

Hi all!

I am totally stumped as to what colours to paint my kitchen/lounge.. it's all open plan with a grey kitchen, bluey/grey tiles and red brick feature walls.

The kitchen units, tiles and red brick are staying but the entire place needs repainted. Doors, walls and ceilings.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! (Please see pics and excuse the mess).

Consider painting the ceiling & walls the same colour. Looks really cool! Don't go too dark with the colour though and make sure to tie in the woodwork with the same colour but in an eggshell Finish. Will look awesome 👌

Would terracotta work? I think it would pick up the red brick and be a nice contrast with the grey and blue-grey. It’s a lovely room!

Your kitchen is gorgeous - love the light floor and cupboard doors. I would go for Dulux Almond White for the lovely kitchen door and walls, just to add lightness.

PS: Once your walls and ceilings are painted in the warm Almond White, you may find the grey kitchen tile colour is enhanced by the extra light.

How much natural light does it get? Are the skylight and the window by the sofa the only sources of light other than the glass-panelled door? What aspect does it have?

It currently looks dark. I'd paint the walls and ceiling white. The door looks a greeny-grey which clashes with grey of the tiles and cupboards, so I'd paint that white too. White is the perfect foil for that wood-look flooring. The brickwork is awkward and is likely making the room look small. Don't be tempted to paint it as that always looks naff. Personally I don't like exposed bricks so I'd probably board over it so I could paint. But I know lots of folks like it.

@Nannerli there is two skylights, 2 floor to ceiling windows and the large one at the back seen in the picture (lounge area).. patio doors and large window in kitchen area but there is not much light flow in the kitchen area.

@AudiobookListener it's a grey blue not green and tiles are cream and solid wood flooring.
