Shower panels - mould?

Just wondering if anyone has had shower panels (look like tiles but are boards) fitted over existing tile in a bathroom? To be clear we would be having these fitted by a professional but I’m worried it may lead to mould growth behind the panels? Thanks

We have Multipanel in one bathroom. It's great, a lot easier to keep clean than the tile and grout in the other bathroom.

We had panels done recently. I thought the fitters were going to fit them over the tiles, but they ripped them out. I guess if they are sealed properly water won't get in and mould won't grow if you do fit them over the top.

That’s great to hear @unsync and thanks @JoJothegerbil - this company said they fit over existing tile but hopefully if sealed correctly they should be ok as you say
