I have these curtains. Currently walls are painted a sage type green. I want to move away from this and towards scandi inspired neutrals (not to everyone’s taste, but I want a change).

I find a wall colour that works. I wanted warm whites, but they look pink or purple in my front room.

I can’t seem to find a white or cream that goes with the curtains (I know they’re called ivory, but they seem more like cream IRL).

Ooh! I love these curtains!

That's exactly what I'm looking for, except I'd like the walls to be a little lighter.

Sounds like you're looking for beige.

HippeePrincess · 15/09/2024 13:29

Have you tried Egyptian cotton?

AShortName · 15/09/2024 13:35

Maybe, but beige sounds drab 😅

I've had strong statement colours (including bold patterned wallpaper) and I want a total change. I don't really care whether it's 'in' or not seeing as it's my house 😊

I've looked at that, but it looks purply/ grey in my house.

We gave Egyptian cotton and its definitely more on the warmer beige side than grey once on the walls, if that helps.

I think those curtains are ivory rather than cream.
Strangely in that photo they have been styled with a colour that slightly clashes with them so that they stand out.
I would try a "Tmeless" tester and see how that is.
School house white is my go to neutral but that may be too cream

It’s seems like everything I try clashes with them in some way.
