Hall floor Victorian tiles or LVT

we have an Edwardian house with a really nice wide hallway and would like to have Victorian tiles on the hall floor - black and white chequerboard with black edging. A guy we spoke to about it suggested quality Lino instead, I guess LVT. Would this look any good though? I would hate it if it didn’t look like real tiles. Advice appreciated!

I'd have tiles. If that's what you wanted, go for it.

But if you live in an Edwardian house, get that style rather than Victorian (similar anyway).

Quality Lino is not LVT!

He might mean marmoleum? It is really nice and you could do a blacka Nd white checkerboard pattern
