Brushed steel tap with brass handles - would you do it or keep everything one metal?
Small kitchen. Units are griege colour..

I don't think it matters. Matchy-matchy looks a bit contrived, also stainless steel taps are more durable and easy to clean. Once you have your cooking equipment, accessories etc in the kitchen it won't stand out.

I've got a stainless steel sink and tap with antique brass on drawers and cabinets. I dithered about mixing too but it looks fine.

My old kitchen had gold taps and gold hardware- the tap then tarnished horribly so we had to replace for stainless steel, I was worried about losing the matchingness but honestly it looked fine.

I'd happily mix stainless steel and brass, nickel looks good too but not chrome - which I think with its shininess would look out of place. And don't ask me why, I don't know!😂
