Just giving this room a face-lift and looking for inspiration. It's a seating area open plan to the kitchen/diner which is mostly grey/blue tones. The walls are white mist (as per the kitchen) the floor light oak. There is a light grey sofa. There are two abstract canvases on the walls either side of the chimney breast that are shades of mostly red/teal/yellow/ochre/orange/green. Was originally thinking of blue & ochre cushions but that look does seem very popular so worried it might date. Alternatively, different shades of blue/teal? And as for the rug?? It's also quite a dark room as in the middle of the house.
Any suggestions appreciated.
