How to hide wall lights

We have some wall lights that don't currently work, it's an under the floorboard problem and ripping up the floorboards to fix it would currently be more hassle then it's worth.

But they look so redundant. Is there a good way of covering them up? They are the lamp style wall light, if that is helpful.

Can you remove them and put something really posh, like the attached, in their place?

You"ll be the 'talk of the town', as they say at my Bingo Club.

I vaguely remember seeing an ad for battery lights controlled by a remote, so potentially you could pop in a led or something and still have the wall light working.

You can buy rechargeable battery lightbulbs that you screw in. Could you try them? I saw them on Amazon
