I keep seeing these all over Instagram. Does anyone have one and actually use it?

We are building one at the moment. We currently have a big outdoor pergola which allows us to BBQ all year round. We are building in a kitchen, worktop, bbq, pizza oven and fridge.

I know lots of people with one, but in a much warmer climate than the UK where most Mumsnetters seem to be from. Can't imagine bothering with one there.

We are thinking of a pergola but I am worried that birds will perch on it all the time and shit all over the deck. Is that an issue with yours?

Not shit but dropping moss was. We needed to change the roof to a flat roof on a slant to make it easier to power wash.

I'd love one in theory but the weather here isn't worth it.

We are in rural Scotland and use our set up all year round.

@Pinkstanley to be fair I do bbq / smoke year round but I can't stomach the cost of a full set up. Currently eyeing up a black stone...
