Sofa bed recommendations

Hi all, we would like to purchase a decent quality, comfortable small sofa bed. My husband wants to purchase one from sofa.com but it's approx £1600 and I feel we could probably find a smart and comfortable one cheaper. I can't seem to justify the price. Can anyone recommend other places they have used and been pleased with? Thanks

Does it need to be a comfy sofa or a comfy bed? It is very difficult/ expensive to get both

The cheaper ones all seem to come with wafer thin mattresses.

We have just taken delivery of a Darlings of Chelsea Bromley sofa bed which was about £2.5K for the 3.5 seater in synthetic velvet. It is very comfortable as a sofa and the mattress is 12cm deep.
I do think that you get what you pay for with a sofa bed.
