Bathroom inspiration

After 20 years we have decided to update our bathroom. We have a self build home, which is a beautiful log cabin. The bathroom was done on a very tight budget, and is therefore very sterile with cheap white and chrome units. which I hate, but not had the opportunity to really change it. The problem I have is I have no visualisation imagination! I know what I like and what I don't like, but cant visualise it in our bathroom etc. I look at Pinterest etc and see fabulous bathrooms, but know they wont suit our home, or be practical. So... I am after inspiration! It is mainly the colour of the wet wall to go in the shower, behind the basin and the toilet, and the floor lino. I love blues, and am thinking of a blue herringbone wet wall panel. The shower will be brushed copper, with a black enclosure, and white tray. I am thinking a counter top basin, (probably white?) with either brushed copper or black taps. and I am thinking that the cabinets will be rustic wood, although the walls and ceiling are all wood and so I am open to other ideas on that, to not over 'rusticise' it. It is a very small area, and no room for a bath. I love quirky, witchy, vibes, and very english country. We are very rural and I would love to keep the interior in keeping with our surroundings too. Any ideas/inspiration/suggestions would be very much appreciated! Pics of current bathroom

Oh wow, you have my dream house! I've always wanted to live in a log cabin!

I think changing the wet wall is a great idea but we're about to do the same and the herringbone ones look quite fake I think. You might be better off with a medium grey stone effect or something? (Think Finnish log cabin grey stone - like the fireplace in this

Or instead, tiles like the ones in the picture I've attached? They're Amazonia sapphire but they do a nice green one too.

The other thing I'm going with after spotting one in a restaurant are hammered bronze or copper sinks, you can get them off etsy. I think they look amazing and fit what you're saying about style.

You must look up Studio Ham on Instagram for inspiration. They are high end interior designers who have a log cabin aesthetic. If you look on their instagram page there is a log cabin bathroom on the sixth line down which has the same bones as your bathroom. They have dark teal brick shape tiles in the shower and an orange vanity which looks amazing against the wood as well as a star bathroom light.

I often look at their website and Instagram page and plan my dream log cabin. I hope you also get lots of inspiration there too.

Log cabin living is wonderful, but does have it's drawbacks too. Like every time it rains or heats up/cools down the house changes shape and so none of the doors fit! And cleaning every log in the walls takes up quite a bit of time!!
I am waiting for a sample on the herringbone and so will see then. We cant really hang tiles though, as they are too heavy for the walls and if the dampness gets in behind it will ruin the wood. Blues are my favourite colour and so plan to stick with those I think.
I spent ages looking for the copper hammered sinks! This was a few years ago when we were thinking of updating then. All of the ones I found were in america, but will have another look.
