MFI for furniture they hadn't gotten as wedding presents. Local hardware store for hardware etc.

Maples

Second hand from small ads.

Local shops in the nearest town.

Habitat, Homebase, M&S, John Lewis, Heals

Local independent shops mainly but this was in 70's and 80's.

And the drapery man for things like towels and teatowels. Until he opened an actual shop, 50 years ago!
