Sofas with castors

Just about to order some Laura Ashley sofas and there is a choice of plain wood feet or wood with castors on the front two feet. I was thinking castors to make them easier to move as and when we need to, but if they are only on the front two, does this make them easier to move or would it make no difference? The floor will be tiled so I’d rather not drag anything and scratch them.

I would get the castors. I think it will make them easier to move, with less risk to the floor.

I have an armchair with front castors, and it moves very easily.

Thank you, do you have to sort of half lift and roll?

No, it just seems to slide.
I did put pads under the stationary feet just in case, but, as I said, it moves very easily.

That sounds perfect then, thank you!

If you have laminate floors or carpet go for the casters. If you have wood floors don't. The casters mark the floors terribly. I regret getting them. Wish I'd just got normal legs and stuck felt floor protectors on them.

I have a clear laminate mat on the wood floor under the armchair with castors.
