Would this look good?

I want a change of colour, mainly in the lounge, but with the dominant colour going through the house.
I was thinking of a mid/slatey blue with brilliant white paintwork, but I have a light sand sofa which must stay.
Do you think this will blend together?
I'm not very good at colour, so any advice gratefully received.

Yes, I imagine blue and sand could go well. I'd probably avoid the more grey tones of blue though. Maybe try a slight greeny blue?

Colour drench the blu so skirtings and ceiling as well.
