Advice to remove paint on one section of wall.

Hello everyone.

I've been redecorating lately and had my daughter's height measurements on the wall in permanent marker, which I wrote down on paper and then painted over. I lost the paper with the measurements on and I'm wondering if anyone could help advise me on the best way to remove paint from that area without removing the permanent marker underneath to get the measurements back. I'm absolutely heart broken.

Thanks in advance!

Sorry late reply and I'm sure you've tried a couple of things already. If it's standard interior paint (i.e. not stain blocking primer or similar) then it's likely to be water soluble, whereas the permanent marker would need a solvent like isopropyl alcohol to remove.
So just giving it a gentle rub with a wet cloth might be enough!
