Hello!
We have just recently purchased a new house, and with all being well, we will hopefully be in soon.
Would just like your opinion on decor - I don't really like how it is done already. It's a new house and was the show home so everything is a bit white and grey with heavy, dark wallpaper.
The entrance hall is quite large and has white tiles on the floor that go into the kitchen. What wall colour or wall paper would warm this up a bit? Make it feel a little more cosy as the tiles make it feel sterile and the wallpaper is too dark!

A rug would make the floor more cosy, as would a couple of plants and some pictures. With a rug, you can paint the walls whatever colour you like.

Have you heard of colour theory? It is a bit like the seasons of colour that people talk about on the style a beauty section. The theory is that people have a preferred pallet of colours that they like which tend to be either cool or warm and either dramatic or soft. If you work out which pallet you like, then as long as you choose from the pallet, things in your house will always look good together and you can move stuff between rooms of you get bored.
