Brushed brass v brushed nickel finishes

I am nearing the end of a new build project - and pulling my hair out over choosing electrical and light sockets....
All along, I had thought I was going to stick with nickel/silver tones. But the two kitchen designers I approached have given me designs with brushed brass handles and tap - which I've decided I love!
So now, do I get nickel sockets throughout or will it look odd not matching the kitchen finishes? But, the main thing I need to consider in the kitchen is the island lighting.
Our current home has white sockets so I've never had to worry about it!

My kitchen designer asked me what I wanted. So you could ask what the kitchen would look like with brushed nickel.
I would go one look through out the house so if you go for brass it needs to be all the fittings.
