Purple/lilac Bedroom walls

Am completely redoing my bedroom. New white shutters, new oak floorboards and keeping existing oak fitted wardrobes. To some degree, I am stuck with purple/lilac paint but looking for ideas for a contrast colour paint. Any ideas? Pale blue? Dark purple feature wall and lilac on the other walls?
Also looking for suggestions as to where to buy a decent bed. Thinking one with an oak base but not essential.

Is there a reason you're stuck with lilac? It's a difficult colour, your only real option is sage green...

My reasoning is because some of the wardrobes have handprinted dark purple and lilac flowers on them, which would be difficult to remove and I don't want to replace the wardrobes.

Sounds like they would go with blue, peach, green, lilac and most especially with yellow or cream

Embrace the lilac! Go for a darker shade of purple and white.

One of my (many) childhood rooms was lilac. My bedroom now is the same colour scheme. So relaxing and fresh, like walking through a lavender field!
