Been sleeping terribly of late exacerbated by the fact I cannot get comfy. My last three sets of pillows have been shite. I sleep like in the picture. I am prepared to drop £££ to feel comfortable at night. TIA.

We have Cooltex pillows made by a company called Healthbeds. They are foam (not memory foam) and come in 2 heights - 'high' and 'low' profile. They are not rock hard like Dunlopillows have become!! I have a low profile pillow and sleep like you.

Panda bamboo pillows from Amazon are great. Sleeping like that is terrible for your body though. I used to sleep like that and still want to but my osteopath was horrified and I am converting to sleeping on my back. Apparently it takes six months to get used to the change.

I sleep like the picture most of the time...I love my feather pillows from Amazon Sufee luxury pillows. They're the comfiest I found

Floks are fantastic x

I go to sleep on my front like in your picture, but I wake on my back. I have an 5 year old dunlopillow, it’s the greatest thing I’ve ever bought. Shame to hear that they’re not as good now.

thenewaveragebear1983 · 09/06/2024 06:57

@CormorantStrikesBack why is this sleep position bad for your body?

Theraffarian · 09/06/2024 06:59

Depends what you like your pillow to feel like , I can’t deal with foam ones to sleep on as they retain too much heat for me . Also I like them to feel squishy but not flat and the insides must not bunch up in annoying clumps . I won’t have feathers , so when tracking my pillow down I’ve settled on premier inn ones . They come in a pack of two , with nice thick washable covers , I have the soft ones . I would say each one is at its optimum level for a year before swapping for the second one in the pack . £36 for two . https://www.premierinnathome.com/product/pillows/?_gl=11nh3jst_up*MQ..&gclid=CjwKCAjwgpCzBhBhEiwAOSQWQXxkBHMJAwA6jbdXK6l5BGqXuJj8j2B9jv7OiRBveBm6-LDxajmdShoCG1gQAvD_BwE

Just Like Down pillos from Dusk are great - changed to these a couple of months ago and I am sleeping so much better

I am v large of Nork so front down isn't comfy and neither is on my back unless I'm propped up enough for gravity to keep them off my throat. I find being on my back makes me snore a bit and I have horrible dreams (probs cos the snoring is making me restless). But yes re the back, I get myself straightened out on the regular as my pelvis is wonky and my muscles spasm to compensate

Body pillow. One of the giant maternity ones - support along your front as well as your head.

Thanks. I've got slumberdown wool ones at the moment but they have kept enough ploomf and still smell a bit farmy despite airing.

Ooh. Do you think one firm and one soft in combo would work?

Dunlopillo (now called Relyon), they are expensive but absolutely worth every penny. I sleep just like you.

To add, I have recommended them to so many people who have come back and told me how brilliant they are.

Edited

That’s what I came on to say, I’ve used them for over 30 years and can’t see past them. Not cheap but the only way I get any sleep

I don’t see why not , the firm ones are actually supposed to last longer , I just prefer the soft version .
