Bathroom fan ducting through vertical wall

Hi all,

I've been reading lots over here but first time posting!

We are renovating our house and adding an ensuite on 1st floor, which will have no window and no external wall.
We need to add an extractor fan (probably in-line) but not sure how to duct it. I was wondering if it's possible to duct it vertically throughout a wall in the floor above (converted loft), up to the roof?

We can't do it horizontally unfortunately.

Thank you so much for your help! 😊

Yes you can, look up 'roof tile vent' and try and avoid using flexible ducting if you can as bends and ridges reduce the extract effectiveness.

Thank you, super helpful!
Is there a specific in-line fan that you would recommend?
The ducting would probably be 5-ish m long with one 90 degrees bend.
