I have ripped up some carpets to expose the original parquet flooring below - I want to have it on show again.
It's sealed, and really needs a good clean. There is also a lot of white fine paint splatters. I think fixing the splatters will be a work in progress, but suggestions on how to deal with them would be good. I wondered about using very fine steel wool, would that be a big mistake? Should I use turpentine? Would that take the sealant varnish off? Or just a scraper?
Also, in the meantime, are there any recommendations for a wood wash product that would bring it back to life a bit?
Thanks
