Lampshade of light on wall

Is there such a thing as a lampshade for a light fitting on a wall rather than a ceiling? Does it exist? Does anyone know of a nice looking one if it does?

yes, there are plenty available.
Most of them are relatively small and just clip onto your light bulb (usually the candle shaped or golf ball shaped bulbs as normal sized luight bulbs are too large for the clip)
Anything larger than an 8" diameter shade will likely be too large as wall lights sit too close to the wall to accommodate anything larger, so they are usually arund the 6-8" size.

Is this what you are looking for?

This is a clip on 6" diameter shade:

There are other styles of wall light shades which actually attach to the lamp holder and will be screwed into place if your wall light is designed to take a specific shade, so making sure you get the correct type is important.

Have a look at Pooky they have masses of choice for this

Sorry I don't think I've made myself clear. The light fitting is on the wall so the light bulb sits horizontal....

Can you upload a pic? I'm struggling to understand what you mean.

A lampshade would distribute the light beneath, so why would you want it to direct the light at the wall?

As the other person said, can you post a picture of what you mean? I'm struggling to imagine it

Do you mean you just have a bare bulb sticking out of the wall? The kind of thing that would usually be on the ceiling?
If so then no I don't think you could get a lampshade for that, I think you'll have to buy a proper wall light and have an electrician fit it.

Maybe a ceiling light then, like a dome?

Did you ever solve this problem? Have got the same problem here.
