Parasol help! Rattan Table.

Hi all,

We have recently managed to pick up a lovely rattan cube table and chairs at a great price on marketplace.

The only thing is the design of the table has no hole in the middle for a parasol.

This is probably a stupid question but can you use a normal parasol with a base but have it freestanding next to the table or do I have to buy an expensive overhanging parasol? My husband thinks a standard one will topple over without a table to support the pole

Wanted to get it sorted before it gets too hot to make sure the little ones have shade.

Normal parasol and base is fine. That’s how I use mine next to my lounger when I’m not using the table. It’s never toppled over and I’ve been using it this way for 15+ years. I do have a case iron base though.
