Small office design

I have a new small office I need to put together and have pretty much free reign over design choices though boss will have final approval. There will be 2 desks (1600 wide) plus a couple of small cabinets and a sofa (I won't be picking that). For desks I think I like the idea of going with black legs and surface, or black legs and birch surface (Ikea Mittzon). Items will likely all need to be from Ikea.

At the moment all walls and desks are white and not only is it bleak, they scuff really easily.

What kind of colours for walls, etc would you use if you were designing an office space?

Apologies for my incorrect use of reign, which should be rein.

Without knowing what the business is, I’m going to start by assuming it’s quite formal. So on the walls I’d go for something fairly plain but light, like a warm beige or a white that has an undertone or hint of green / pink / blue. Then have a few pieces of art with some pops of colour that you can then tie into the colour of the cushions on the sofa.
My thinking for this is that if you’re having meetings via video call then you don’t want the background too distracting.
The desks you’re suggesting sound good with the birch top.
What colour is the sofa?
If it’s a less formal / more creative type business then you can get away with more colour and pattern. I’d possibly go for one colour on the bottom half of the wall, like a nice deep green, or a dusky pink, with a more neutral colour on the top half. And then hang some pictures with fun prints. Plus get nice coloured cushions for the sofa.
A few plants and a vase for some flowers could be nice too.
