RAL 9010 equivalents

Our new window frames are apparently painted in RAL 9010 which although is named “pure white” is actually a creamy off white. It’s really lovely.

All the skirts and door frames etc all need replacing and I want the same “white but not white”. I am lost down the rabbit hole of white paint.

Anyone good with colours that can tell me what colour I want (eggshell) in a readily available wood paint?

It’s less white than Timeless, I can tell you that as our kitchen is in Timeless and the windows are creamier but not more “yellow”.

I am going to start a campaign where all paint must be numbered consistently between brands like hair dye so you can buy 6.5 and know what the fuck it is.

Also, you can just go into most paint shops and ask them to mix up RAL 9010 in a satin paint - Dulux will do it for example.

Sounds like an amazing colour. I love those magic whites which somehow manage to have lovely tones but still be properly white.

The RAL number is the standardised system for "naming" colours, someone got there before you with that idea!!

I'd go to a paint store and ask for the RAL number in a wood paint. Somewhere like the Paint Shed if you have one near you which is geared up for trade and open to DIY-ers. They won't bat an eyelid.
