No chimney no fireplace suggestions!

We're moving to a house with exactly that. I realise we could build a false chimney breast wall but the room isn't large and it would encroach quite a bit.

Anyone have an electric fire that looks realistic with a nice mantlepiece/surround that they could recommend?

I do have chimney breasts, but they are quite shallow. I've had these bioethanol fires installed. They can be inset or wall mounted. You could build a false chimney breast partway, topped with a mantle.

If you have a wall mounted TV you can get a DVD of with a range of different fires to have in the background
(but not if you want to watch a TV program, although i suppose that you could get a send TV!)
