Walls colour

Hi !

I'm looking for some guidance on what colour can I paint / wallpaper my new build living room. It's all currently white.

My sofa is brown leather and a yellow small 2 seater. And curtains and some cushions are gold / yellow. Pics attached for reference of the brown sofa and the curtain.

The rest of the furniture (tv table , etc are all same brown /black colour)

I ask because everything else sounds extremely neutral so you could go many ways.

What colours do you wear? What sort of colours do you like?

A sage green would work well with the brown and the gold, as long as you choose a shade with a slight bit of yellow rather than blue in it

You could try a blue-green colour - maybe farrow and ball Oval room blue

Farrow and Ball Pigeon, it's a green grey and so lovely on walls. We have it with teal sofas and a yellow chair

Yes I'd like to keep the curtains. The curtains are on bifold doors to the garden. The curtains are fairly new.

I wear all sorts of colours. Mostly dark.

Current set up is every room has a different colour scheme. Master bedroom and DC room is dark blue. Guest room is dark green and light grey. Living room is yellow / brown / gold / black (and lots of toys).

I'd add another colour such as sage then do I have to incorporate some cushions, etc to bind them? Should I paint one wall or all ?

On one of the walls we've put a design together with Nano leaves. That's opposite the garden door.
