What colour cooker hood should I get in this kitchen?

My kitchen cabinets are going to be a cashmere warm grey (shaker) Brass hardware so I leaned away from stainless steel appliances as i would rather not mix metals. Black oven and black hob. Do I got down the same route with the cooker hood and get black to match and make more of a feature of it or would a stainless steel cooker hood look better as it will blend in better with the grey cabinets? Will one be easier to keep clean over the other? Kitchen is already ordered so pls no suggestions to get it integrated- thanks!

My first thought was brass. Black could look very heavy.

Do you have a pic of what your new kitchen will look like from the kitchen designer ? It makes a difference exactly how/where the hood will be in relation to doors/windows/full length cupboards etc ?

I'd also try to see the exact colour of the new handles alongside the hood, as likely the hood is more of a bright gold rather than a mellow brass colour ?

If you want to make a feature of it, then a brass which matches the hardware. If you want it to blend a bit more, then black to match the oven etc. I definitely wouldn’t use stainless steel if you have not used it elsewhere.

Black shows the dust!

Brass is lovely.

Brass or hidden in a unit.

Yeah Brass was my first go to. Though they all appear to be hideously expensive compared to the "basic" colours

Brass (if actually brass, not a sprayed on colour) is an absolute wank to keep looking good.

We have the cashmere warm grey/lilac tone cabinets with dusty lilac splashbacks. Thr cooker hood is black, shiny and enormous, it also looks like a TV screen in the kitchen. (didn't realise just how big it would be until it was installed.)
But it's not the colour that's the problem, (it's over a large black hob) it's the size. Brass would not have gone well at all, colour-wise.

Are the handles aged/antique coloured brass or are they bright shiny brass ?

Mine is built in the cabinets and there’s some small storage space either side which is handy. Looks very neat. My mum has a big shiny black one that attracts dust and shows finger prints. Her kitchen was done 10 months before mine so I learned from her.
