Any toilet will block depending on what you put down it! No toilet is block free! Look at what you are flushing if you are having issues.

Well, yes and no. We are currently having our upstairs shower room and lav renovated. The pipework for the macerator lav was copper, not plastic, which is bad; and had lots of elbow joints also bad; and went to exit pipes that were narrow, bad, bad, bad. So the underlying pipework might be a bit, er, shit, and so you may or may not solve the problem of a toilet that seems to block too readily just by replacing the toilet. How far has your plumber/bathroom fitter investigated?

We still get paper bills from Yorkshire Water, and with each bill we get a note to remind us that only bodily waste and loo roll should go down the toilet. No "fluhable" wipes, no sanpro, no kitchen towel, no cotton wool pads etc.

Are you making sure that only bodily watse and loo roll are being flushed?

Our friend’s experience advice is under NO circumstances buy a macerator lavatory if you can possibly fit a normal one in the space.

And I always go for German not Italian brands.

Sorry no advice beyond that op!

Thanks all, yes nothing goes down the loo apart from loo paper (not quilted). We had our en suite done on the cheap and the sink has routinely blocked as has the loo. We do have 4 kids but they don't flush anything down there except for loo paper either. Possibly it's a main pipe problem but I'm having the floor done in there soon and was thinking of replacing the loo and sink to get ones that work...

It is most likely the pipework and you won't need a new sink or toilet at all. There could be an issue with the pipework that is causing blockages.
