Stoneware like Le Creuset but not so eye-watering!

Any recommendations for dining sets that are as tough and durable as Le Creuset but not quite so bloody expensive?!

I only need plates, bowls and side plates, no pots or pans.

Any tips welcome! Thanks.

Denby is best
le crueset stoneware is not as tough as Denby.
Can often get the older designs cheaper or can buy seconds

If you’re into second hand any Staffordshire ironstone ware will do. I’ve got my grandparents willow pattern. They failed to wear it out and I think I’ll be the same

Lakeland do nice cast iron pots that are a fraction of the price of Le Creuset and work just as well. They don't look quite as nice, but as cooking pots they're great.

Thanks for the tips so far for plates etc – not looking for pots and pans, though! I did say... 😁 but thank you anyway.

Will check out Denby and Staffordshire :-)

You used to be able to use Tesco clubCard vouchers for Denby- check and see

Great tip! I have a few vouchers burning a hole in my pocket just now :-) Thanks.
