Our bedroom carpet is about a decade old, black at edges and a bit gross, we've also had carpet beetles so steam cleaned it..I want to rip out and replace but with wood effect lino or laminate, DH says no it looks weird and is cold, but isn't is a bit cleaner? We lived abroad for years and never had bedroom carpets!
