Paint choice help …… before midnight 🤣

Hi. Sorry. Not a very regular poster - but an obsessive reader on here.

Long story short - I have a chimney breast and then either side of it the walls are recessed. It’s a tiny room - but I wanted to use this colour on the wall with the chimney breast. The rest of the room is dulux caramel cream or something like that - like a darker cream. But I’ve put the lagoon on both the recess walls and I absolutely love it - but I think it’ll be far too dark on the chimney breast too. Basically what I want is to look like the lagoon - but a light/paler shade of it.

I only have my mobile phone so can’t really judge colours well on it - and I am more than happy to suggestions. I guess the only other option is to do the breast in the dulux too - but I really would like just a lighter version of the lagoon.

I think paint it all in lagoon. If you’ve the other three walls in cream, then the blue recesses, then the only options are the chimney breast in the same cream as the other walls or lagoon. Anything else will be too bitty and mixed up.

I think you might be right. Maybe just the dulux caramel on the chimney breast might work. I think it’s because I’m sat staring at it thinking it’s too bland …. But that’s maybe because I’m looking at the white primer. It should warm up with the caramel maybe?

I think it could be lovely to have just the two recesses in the blue, and the rest of the room cream. But also could work with that whole wall blue. But don’t introduce a third colour in a small room. It won’t work.

And yes just checked caramel cream is not cream, it’s quite caramel, as such I’d do all the walls and chimney breast in this and the two recesses in the blue.

Is now a bad time to tell you that my furniture is grey? 😁

Hmmm,,,get some blue or caramel cushions.,but defo don’t put another colour in,,,will look lovely don’t worry,,

You’re a star!! I’ve ordered the same cream as the rest of the room.

If you want a lighter version of lagoon you could just add some white paint to it and mix well to get the colour you want.
