Looking for a sofa bed that can be slept on daily, any recommendations?
all the ones I've looked at are for occasional use or have terrible reviews. On a budget so £700 max

Unfortunately it's going to be hard to get one for daily sleeping on for £700. They're generally a lot more expensive. Would a day bed work? Either way IKEA is probably your best bet for that budget. Id also check out eBay as second hand sell for a fraction of the price and that might be a better way to get a decent one

The day beds in ikea also have really bad reviews as I did consider them 😩 don't want second hand I don't have the means to collect and arranging a van is difficult here

With a mattress topper if you don't like really firm.

I had a hemnes day bed which was really good I thought but needed a mattress topper. Didnt use that for daily use. Have only found one sofabed that works for daily use and unfortunately it's really expensive. Have you thought about a normal bed then dress is at as a sofa in the day depending on what size you need. Be aware the hemnes opens to king size and you just need to be careful pulling it in and out

I have an ikea Lycksele sofabed in my spare room which is great as a bed, but it is a pain in the bum to open up as you have to remove the whole cover to open it up. It probably isn’t that great as an every day sofa as no arms.

but it has wooden slats and a
choice of 3 mattresses - I’ve got the top spec.

Around £400 new I think but I got it for £50 on EBay. Courier was another £50. Try Shipley or AnyVan if you don’t have any one local. Never accept the first quote though. Leave it a bit and the quotes will
come
down.

You might be better with a murphy bed like these:

You can change the mattress and hide it with a cupboard or curtains

I think it is the Havet which is the best mattress option from memory.

We had one of those ikea sofa beds and it was in daily use for a while. The only sofa bed I've ever had a decent nights sleep on. Would recommend.

Buy the IKEA Hemnes day bed, but buy a proper mattress to go on it, rather than just a foam one.

JanglyBeads · 07/04/2024 21:17

Sofabedbarn.co.uk are who you need. About £500 Inc delivery and a de luxe mattress for a single, bit more for a small double.
I slept.on one for over four years and have just bought another as needed a different size. They say for occasional use, iirc, but take no notice of that!

Attictroll · 07/04/2024 21:20

Yes sleep on this www.ikea.com/gb/en/p/hemnes-day-bed-frame-with-3-drawers-white-90349326/ frequently...in the single bed state with proper mattresses

Bountifulbarbie · 07/04/2024 21:28

But she isn't after a day bed. That's just a single bed with high sides to it

I would have said the landskrona as it's bloody brilliant but it's over budget

However the vretsorp is just as good

I have to say that I used ebay for ours. You can get it delivered by shiply for cheap
