I still like grey. And I find sage green dull.

Spill your bad taste here - what do you like that according to this board you really shouldn't?

I like grey too, my entrance hall and landing is grey.

Curtainsforus · 03/04/2024 15:46

My dog is grey - I love my dog!

😁

I like grey and not just for my living room. My car is grey and a lot of my clothes are. Colour suits me too.

LoobyDop · 03/04/2024 18:03

Haven’t seen it mentioned for a while, but I don’t mind a bit of twiggy shit. Especially if it has fairy lights on it.

XpelairHamPortal · 04/04/2024 16:26

Omg, someone will come along and admit to having "live, laugh, love" signs in a minute Grin

I like grey in moderation, too

marriednotdead · 04/04/2024 17:01

I have voile 'net' curtains at my front windows. I am too close to a busy road near a station to have them bare and it's too dark and expensive to have shutters.

My stair and hallway carpet is grey, I actually bought it before grey was fashionable and DD took the piss at the time but it's worn well. Won't change it until it's a lot more knackered.

SusanSHelit · 04/04/2024 17:06

I don't love grey but I do love green.

I would much rather have cheap wooden furniture (pine/bamboo) than expensive looking glossy chipboard shite from IKEA

I also don't mind a bit of twiggy shit.

I quite like posters on the wall (framed, for the grownups I suppose). I think they can be a fantastic expression of personal taste

Monochrome Christmas trees are an abomination and should be a gaudy amalgam of all the random interesting decorations you've collected over the years.

I think Easter pulling crackers are a great idea and good fun

JennyLake · 05/04/2024 15:41

on the Christmas theme I have always had coloured lights on my Christmas tree. White lights while lovely and classic JUST AREN’T CHRISTMAS!

We’ve just laid a mono block driveway and I really like it.

I’ve been looking at blinds recently and there loads of voile! It’s making a comeback

siameselife · 05/04/2024 15:55

I like those oversized clocks and actually shiplap as well.
I do prefer green to grey though.

HeddaGarbled · 05/04/2024 15:56

I like carpets.

mondaytosunday · 05/04/2024 16:19

I love exposed brick. So much so that I clad my extension (done by previous owners who plastered and painted it) in brick slips. It's added so much character and warmth!
Have to say I hate grey. It's dull enough in this country.

FeltCarrot · 05/04/2024 16:22

Our telly is over the fireplace. Frees up wall space for family photos.

Devilsmommy · 05/04/2024 16:24

The only grey I like is charcoal and my kitchen is emerald and willow tree, which is a sageish colour. I love it and don't care 😆

I have linen voiles under my velvet curtains - I love them!

I like gnomes.

Particularly the traditional ones with really tall hats.

CoffeeWithCheese · 05/04/2024 17:19

I still like grey - although we're redecorating the house currently and I'm going for colours this time since we now have room sizes we can get away with a bit more with. Most of our old house was grey and this one still has a grey lounge and kitchen.

Where you’re going wrong is calling it Sage. It is forever known in our house as sausage after our youngest mis-read the label in wilko. Now we refer to it as sausage it’s so much more exciting!

Wagonwheelforme · 05/04/2024 17:23

I think grey still works in the right room/ setting.

i think the fact it is out of fashion means people will stop using it badly.

I think that’s why things go out of fashion- colours get used in ways they shouldn’t, and it just puts you off

Pinkpinkpink15 · 05/04/2024 17:30

Too many to mention!!

grey in the right shade & room
i like sage, but proper sage, not the shit they also call sage
carpet
twiggy shit
fairy lights

Anotherillnes · 05/04/2024 17:36

I never moved from liking magnolia. It may be boring but it’s plain and pictures stand out from it.

SusanSHelit · 05/04/2024 18:27

Oh yes warm white fairy lights are lovely, all year round except for Christmas, when multicoloured is the only acceptable way.

I would quite possibly murder for a hot tub in the garden. I like plastic plants because they give the illusion of greenery without the guilt of me inevitably killing them.

Sparkly light fittings are nice too

Scarletttulips · 05/04/2024 18:31

My kitchen is sage! I’ve had it years since we moved in (about 14)

I also like colours, purples, pinks, blues!

I much prefer individual homes to all over white or similar. Show some character.

MissyB1 · 05/04/2024 18:35

I like beige! And magnolia walls, very boring of me but I like neutral. I also like feature wall with wallpaper on.

I do have a grey stair carpet though.

I’m planning on having brick slips on one wall when we redo our kitchen (not any time soon). Totally agree with you about the warmth.

And I love linen voiles. They have to be linen or cotton, though- they need that lovely, slightly rough texture, otherwise they’re just nets and horrible.
