Colour for kitchen cupboards

We are changing our kitchen cupboards to update the kitchen/diner. I would like an elegant classic look with a modern look so I have decided to go with a slim shaker. I just can’t decide between white, stone or sage green. The worktops are white stone with a gold/brownish small vein, so I will be going with bronze handles. I will be keeping the parquet flooring and the dining table is wooden too.

Any advice on white, stone or sage green cupboards? I’m leaning towards the green but I don’t want it to be too ‘country kitchen’.
Also, thoughts on a waterfall worktop for the island? TIA

White or stone. Sage green is having its moment and I suspect everyone will be sock of it very soon. White or stone are classics.

White. Always classic and doesn't age.

Not sage green

I like save green. Im
just struggling to find the right 'sage'

white can easily look cheap.

i do like stone as well, but again im finding it difficult to get the colour I like (my kitchen is making everything look too yellow based

Stone would be my choice.

We have this, but bear in mind that stone is basically grey. We have wall cabinets in white and lower cabinets and floor to ceiling cabinets in stone. Work surfaces a mixture white quartz and light oak wood. It looks great. But just the white units would have looked super plain I think.

I love sage green, looks very classic, really pleased with our choice.

I think it depends on actual colours and how warm/ cold they are. In my head sage green is a warm colour which goes beautifully with gold/ bronze but it might be different in reality. We went to a shop the other day and their sage green was so cold and greyish whereas the grey was nice and warm.

Anything except white - really hard to keep looking pristine and always looks cheaper/colder than a colour

stone or sage green, hate white

Love sage green. I'd beware of it being too much of a ' blue' sage though, as that will look more countryish. If you dialled it up to be slightly more a khaki green it will look very smart.

Stone white and sage are all pretty safe colours - get a door in each shade and have a look at them beside the worktop, floor and the light in your kitchen. Choose whichever looks best for your room - you can’t ask randomers on this forum - they’ll tell you what they like and what looks best in their room - you need to look at your room.
