Grey Sofa / Colour Scheme

I need some inspiration!

I’ve just moved into a new build which has light grey carpets throughout. New sofa for the living room is a slightly darker shade of grey and in time we will be painting the walls with Egyptian cotton. I want to add pops of colour with cushions then match the curtains/lamps etc… to that. I was thinking a dark sapphire blue colour but then I’m wondering if that would make the room too cool looking and maybe it needs something warmer?

This is my first home after years of renting and I’m not used to having to decide on decoration! 😊

I love grey and mustard, or grey and sage green. Congratulations on your move!

Grey and mustard is a bit next at home.

personaliy id do things like pinks, olive greens, creams, multiples, brighten it up. And add some nice throws too as yes, so much grey will look cold especially if you couple it with blue.

I moved into brand new place and has very white walls, have put dark wood floors down and have grey sofa and lots of art on walls which adds colour and went for midnight blue cushions, throws etc. Looks lovely. I am not a fan of mustard or acid colours at all. You could add few vases with colour and I also have few nice big green plants. Am going to paint one wall in each room in next few months some kind of a grey or blue. Have you any photos.

We've used dusky pink and some duck egg blue. It's made the room really relaxing and calm.

Teal is a great choice! I have teal and brown not grey, but I love it!

I like a bit of grey with tan, burnt orange or dark green.
