Wise Mumsnetters
I am looking for an upholstery staple gun to staple fabric to chairs.
Is there any easy to use upholstery gun you would recommend for a first time upholsterer ?
Thanks in advance.

I bought a Stanley heavy-duty staple gun to reupholster our chairs over lockdown. It worked perfectly, and cost about £30.

The best ones are the air gun type - but need a compressor to work.

I've used two electric staple guns.
The Stanley TRE550Z is powerful as it has an adjustable torque 'wheel' but, I've found, is a delicate little flower and does not last long before it breaks. I got through three before changing brand.
My current one is Tackwise 1703 149EL. Needs a bit of physical force as it has no adjustable torque but, so far, has been more robust.
If /when the Tackwise goes I'll get a Bosch PTK rechargable.
