Anyone got a Bosch double oven?

Looking for a new double oven and like the quality of Bosch products so am tempted by this. There is a £200 difference in price between the series 2 and the series 4 and the only difference I can see is that the series 4 has retractable knobs? Anyone got either series and would recommend? Not sure if it's worth paying the extra £200 for slightly more up to date technology and retractable knobs!!

I’ve had both! I installed the retractable knob version when we put in a new kitchen about 16 years ago. When the oven died, 1st week of lockdown (ffs) I went with the series 2 because we knew we’d be moving house.

I think the retractable knobs are neater and make it easier to clean the front of the oven but functionally, to cook in, I could not tell the difference between the two models!

Brilliant thank you, just as I thought! Would you recommend it? What's the grill like, my current one is useless at grilling really uneven.

I like Bosch because they last, I’ve had a succession of Bosch and Siemens ovens, hobs, dishwashers, washing machines, fridge freezer etc. so yes I’d recommend. We rarely replace our appliances. My Tumble dryer just died after 20 years!

The grill is good, no unevenness. My only complaint would be that the grill is in the top oven and I’m 5ft. So once the oven is in a tower unit the grill is high! It felt slightly precarious lifting hot food out - having the door open and having to lean over that made it even more of a stretch. If you’re taller than 5 foot you’ll be fine.
