Is this acceptable?

I had some work done in my house. Next day there's a video of the work on the tradesman's Facebook page.
We didn't give our permission for this, should he have asked before putting it out there?

Does it identify you/your house? I think it's fairly normal for people to share the work they're doing/done as it helps people decide to use them. What made you choose them?

It would have been polite of them to ask you though.

As a courtesy, they should really have asked you. But if they haven’t identified your house or shared anything showing your personal belongings, there isn’t much you can complain about really. More importantly, was the work decent? Good contractors are hard to find, I don’t think I’d complain just for the sake of it and risk a blacklisting.

We had an electrician put in a new fuse box.. Picture on his website included the corner of our window (with view of front street). A dm from ds's school messaged me to say she had seen in my bedroom online! Was quite annoyed tbh. Never bothered contacting him.

Ot would have been polite for him to ask but that doesn't make it "unacceptable". What do you mean by that anyway? Legally? Personally acceptable to you?

We had a tiler doing our loft ensuite last year. The cheeky fucker filmed our family bathroom pointing out all of the issues with the crap tiling/ finishes and posted it on instagram. I was fuming!
