I wouldn't paint a bedroom red personally but I've had a look and I prefer baked cherry

TheSuggestedAmendment · 17/03/2024 07:55

Don’t paint your bedroom red.

mardylookingfrump · 17/03/2024 07:56

Depends on the lighting, aspect, size of room, surely? But also: neither, it’ll look like a blood clot.

Neither are bedroom colours for me but I prefer baked cherry. I do love Little Greene paint though!

FlabMonsterIsDietingAgain · 17/03/2024 08:31

What is your plan for it, will it be floor to ceiling all walls or as a feature or upto a dado then a different colour to ceiling?

I prefer Baked Cherry but think there is potential for it to be overwhelming and dark if it's not a very light room.

I like dark colours and actually have a solid black wallpaper in my bedroom but only on 2 of the walls, the rest are white with a hint of grey and then I have accessories in bright colours which I switch out based on my mood.

I have Theatre Red in my living room

DinnaeFashYersel · 17/03/2024 17:10

Bedroom or boudoir or a bed

LatteLady · 17/03/2024 17:19

Neither, it will either end up looking like a murder scene or a bordello.

AllrightNowBaby · 17/03/2024 17:22

Neither colour of red would be great for a bedroom.
Stuff of nightmares ……

Thank you. Really helpful feedback! We have decided to dispense with red for the bedroom and need to find a use for the baked cherry that we have purchased. We have a small study so possibly in there.

I like the idea of a dark red study! Quite classic, especially if you colour drench and do the skirting, ceiling, architrave, bookshelves, etc all in the same colour.

There’s a thriving market for secondhand fancy paint on Facebook so if you totally change your mind, you can recoup some cost.

We've got a sort of dark cherry in the bedroom, for the textiles, it's nice. If you like rich, warm colours then imo best thing is first find the curtains and bed covers you like and then get the paint afterwards to suit.

My bedroom is red.

I would say similar to the baked cherry.

Yes all 4 walls are red and I love it.
