Kitchen conundrum

2 years ago we renovated our kitchen. We went for white gloss cabinets, black granite worktops and a gray LVT floor. At the time we were planning to sell but circumstances have changed and we're staying for the foreseeable.

We're definitely changing the floor and we both want a wood effect. My preference is a darker shade and my partner prefers a lighter oak.

I m also in favour of replacing the granite with beautiful butchers block work tops.

Has anyone done glossy white cabinets/wood flooring? TIA

Dark flooring with black granite sounds very, dark? Have you tried some of the online 'visualisers'? I know there's one for Karndean as I've used it.
As for wooden worktops I imagine they need a fair bit of care to keep them looking good.

My advice would be to go for something versatile that you can change in time if you need.
We opted for a solid wood floor form these guys as it meant we could always sand it back and refinish in the future if we wanted to change it's colour. They have a good post here about kitchen colours and wood floors too.
I guess if you're thinking of resale value at all- a wooden floor is always a good choice.
