I'm painting a large old pine chest of drawers. It was originally built from reclaimed materials and is in bad shape. I planned to replace the knobs with some pretty ceramic ones but I've hit a snag. The old knobs seem to be attached witha double ended screw? If you unscrew the knob it leaves the screw in situ.
I can't get the screws out and my DIY skills are zero so I'm keeping the knobs.
Question is to paint or leave them wood?
I'm using a cream chalk paint with the top drawer in pink.
