I am in need of a bed

After 8-10 years our IKEA bed is starting to die. I am very sad/excited about this opportunity!

Since buying our house 5 years ago we have been replacing things that die with our "forever" version.

So: Wilko kettle and toaster replaced by a lovely dualit set. Charity shop sofa replaced by a gorgeous Loaf.

The bed feels like a huge decision to make though. Ideally I would like an ottoman or some kind of storage, padded headboard, non-creaky and a lovely mattress that doesn't dig into your hips.

I've had a look around John Lewis etc and there are beds for £7k 🤯

I don't want to buy another cheap bed and be cursing myself for the next 10 years but I am also reluctant to buy a bed that costs more than our car.

Any advice or recommendations will be gratefully received!

Warren Evans. They do divan/ottoman beds, supply headboards in different shapes, offer a good choice of fabrics to cover headboard and bed, provide an excellent range of mattresses. Deliver for no extra charge, assemble bed, take away the old bed and mattress. We've got WE beds (although i think we bought our mattress from JL, DS' from WE) and they've been excellent. I'm just helping my DPs replace their bed, and they are going for Warren Evans. And you can definitely get one that meets your brief for less than your car!

We bought a bed recently from the Natural Bed Company - we loved the low-key style. The mattress we bought from Ikea - it's more comfortable than the one we paid three times as much for in M&S. I think mattresses are a bit of a scam.
