What colour for kitchen-diner- utility

We have a new kitchen and floor coming next month. The cabinets and splashbacks are both a creamy off white (definite warm undertones), counters are a mid-oak, and the flooring is Karndean Portland Stone.

I am completely at a loss as to the colour for the walls. The complication is that it is a long through room (diner is north facing, kitchen and utility are south facing).

I want kitchen wipeable paint and so am looking at Dulux rather than more expensive brands.

I should appreciate any suggestions for colour. We aren't very adventurous so are looking at light to mid shades rather than something dark and dramatic.

We went for Egyptian Cotton which is either pale grey or cream depending on what light you see it in. We do have wallpaper in the dining part of the kitchen diner as I found too much paint looked bland.

Separate the spaces with different shades of paint? But overall I'd go for a warm off white in the north facing area for extra light. We painted our 'brown' kitchen cabinets a French grey, much lighter and the extra light changes the mood (for me for the better, I get a bit SAD).
If you go for light shades they'll be easy to paint over if you get it wrong, don't start with black! ;)

It sounds like it needs a touch of colour. So a cream or off white will make the whole space very pale, if I've understood correctly. Unless you put some coloured tiles or splash backs in the kitchen.

I think I'd ether do something like Egyptian cotton with tiles in the kitchen, or wallpaper as a (currently unfashionable, I believe) feature wall in the living end.

Or, something like a light sage or paler end of the plaster pinks that are currently fashionable on every wall.

I love Egyptian cotton - thank you for that suggestion. I'd love the whole room to be neutrals.
The light sage is also a great idea. Am now wondering about one of the greenish off-white/neutrals such as Moon Shimmer.
While I love the plaster/putty shades I think they'll be too pink next to the warm cream cabinets.

Every other room in the house is either pure brilliant white or an off-white so even one of those shades will be quite a bit of colour for us 😀
