Wood floor or carpet for bedroom and why?

As the heading says. We are getting wood floor downstairs and not sure whether to do carpet upstairs or wood floor upstairs. Feel that carpet is cosier and warmer - we live in London thanks

Carpet. It's quieter upstairs. Wood flooring is good in places you're eating or passing through in shoes but carpet is nicer on barefoot which I mostly am in the bedroom. (I totally do eat in the bedroom but most people don't so there's less worry about spillages ect)

Carpet, or massive rugs, so basically, carpet.

If noise isn't a problem, wood. Easier to keep the dust and pollen down so you sleep better

Carpet is so much cozier for bare feet

I would much prefer hard floors throughout the house, BUT even I concede that carpets are much nicer upstairs, keeps noise down, cosier, warmer, softer on feet. We're completely hard floor downstairs, but about to re-carpet the whole of the upstairs (not bathrooms! 😱).

I prefer hard floors everywhere. To my mind carpets are horribly unhygienic, and I wouldn't have them at all through choice. Sadly DH loves a cosy filth ridden carpet, so we have hard floor in the hall, bathrooms and kitchen, and carpet in living rooms and bedrooms.

Carpet in the bedroom for us.

I'd choose carpet for a bedroom every time. We don't live in a hot enough climate for hard floors throughout an entire house imo.
